The Global Public Policy Symposium brings together many of the key players concerned with ensuring the quality and reliability of financial reporting that is so essential for the success and stability of global capital markets and to investor confidence.

The symposium on 8 November in Paris will focus on "Investor Needs and the Role of the Auditor – A Vision for the Future".

It will provide a forum for members of the auditing profession, key regulators, and representatives from the investor community to exchange ideas and views and discuss the role of the auditor in addressing investor needs so as to bolster investor confidence and sustain healthy capital markets. We all have a stake in the growth and sustainability of global capital markets, which requires continuous improvements to the quality, reliability and accessibility of financial and other information that investors need. We hope this event will open up lines of communication and help inform auditors and policymakers on current concerns of investors and how to further safeguard the integrity of the global capital markets.
